A Day Late and a Dollar Short

Something I've learned just recently is that South Africa is far away. It really is.

Like 9623 miles. But who's counting?

Yesterday was my mom's birthday. And I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but I miss her (and my dad) a lot.

I am so proud of her, though, for going on a mission and sacrificing so much for what she truly believes. I just wish those South Africans knew how lucky they are.

And I mean, isn't she just so cute?

Oh, and my nephew Drew, too.

Happy Birthday, Mom! Thank you for being one of my best friends. I love you.

On this subject, I can both empathize, and sypathize. Having my parents in China for a year was CRAPPY!...but lots of good came from it...so chin up little lady...the time will be over before you know it!
