Heartbreaker

Today is Ian's preschool Valentine's Party. I'm a little worried.

A few months back, one of the other moms stopped and asked if I was Ian's mom. I answered in the affirmative-- albeit, a little nervous but figured I better claim him.

She said her little girl Sasha (name has been changed to protect the not-so innocent) had a major crush on Ian. This came as no surprise to me, I mean, what 4-year-old girl wouldn't love this face?

The mom said Sasha couldn't stop talking about him and how cute he was. And I guess Sasha's older brother got glasses and she told her mom, "You know who would look good in glasses, Mom? Ian would."

I thought that was pretty funny and got a good chuckle out of it until a couple months later, Ian's teacher asked if I could stay after class and talk to her about an "incident" involving Sasha.

Apparently there was a little Sleeping Beauty game going on...Ian taking the role of the sleeper and Sasha, the kissing wake-up call.

Who does that little girl think she is, making the moves on my sweet little boy?

I passed Sasha's mom on the way out and told her what the teacher had said. I guess Sasha had been saying for about a week that she was going to kiss Ian, even after being told repeatedly by her mom not to.

What? Premeditated even?! Girls these days!

She told her mom, "I'm definitely going to kiss Ian now, since he got a haircut." Ha! You better believe I'm going to think twice before cutting his locks again!

So you can see why I might be a little nervous today, right? What, with the love celebration going on his classroom and all. Ian did tell me he told Sasha he can't kiss any girls besides his mom until he's older, but I wouldn't put one past that girl.

Talk about agressive. Good thing we were never like that! ;) Maybe Heather was. I can see Heather doing something like that in her youth! Can't wait for tomorrow!

holy toledo! that is one forward girl. Of coarse Ian has the looks but that is not allowed. If my girls turn out like that I am going to lock them up like repunzel, and Asher better start running!

Wow - glad to know there's a little girl out there like I was! ;) Just tell him one day he'll only dream of having her kiss him! ha!

Oh the irony! This Sasha girl reminds me of someone . . . I'm pretty sure I went to high school with her . . . :P
