Bragging Rights

So my last post was awesome, huh? Are we still friends?

It's been a while since I've had that many comments, so I thought I'd write another controversial post. Let's talk Arizona's new immigration law....

No?

How 'bout a really good brag session? Those are always fun.

Ian drew this picture for his friend Layne. Can you tell what it is? Of course you can-- it's 2 football players. He's so promising, I know.

Speaking of talent, I think Ashton's going to be a writer when he grows up. Here's proof-- an email he sent to my parents in South Africa:
dear grandma and papa
i wont to no how big elufints are.
dear ashton
i lov you

And I can't forget my youngest. He is amazing. Just look.

He can roll his tongue! And Ashton can make a kissy face. My kids are awesome.

No Offense, Stephenie

There's something wrong with me. That's the only possible explanation.

For the past several weeks I've been reading a book I don't like. Each night I put it down in frustration. And then I pick it up the next night to read, just so I can put it down once again in frustration.

What is wrong with me?

And then last night I realized I didn't like the movie I rented within 10 minutes of pushing play on my remote. Each time the main character spoke or came on the screen I would cringe. And yet I watched all 2 hours of that darn movie.

What is wrong with me?

I've come to the conclusion that only a mathematical equation can help my predicament.

+

=

Oh, that's what's wrong with me.

Plus, I've realized that I will never be a member of the Stephenie Meyer fan club. And I'm sure now I'll never have any kind of fan club of my own. Just don't send me hate mail, okay?

However, if you do have something mean to say, just make sure you put a "no offense, but..." in front and then write a blog post about it.

Fun and Games

So I'm sure you're all wondering what my excuse is for not writing the last couple days. I'm always good for an excuse, just ask me.

The sad thing is, this time I don't really have an excuse. I've been trying to think of something exciting to write about to spice up the ol' blog, and I think I've finally come up with something pretty awesome.

It's a new feature for my blog called "Guess What We Had For Dinner." Each week I'll post a picture of Carter in his high chair and you have to guess what we ate that night. Doesn't that sound like so much fun?

Okay, here ya go. Guess what we had for dinner.

Stumped? Hmm...maybe I should change the game a little bit.

How 'bout we play "Guess The Injury." Each week I'll post a picture of Carter in his high chair and you have to figure out how he hurt himself that day.

Okay, here ya go. Guess the injury.

Bonus points if you can also guess what we had for dinner.

Triple points if you come over and wipe his nose.

Daddy-O

They say a picture speaks a thousand words,
so I'm gonna go ahead and let these do their thing.

Aren't my kids the luckiest grandkids on the planet? And I'm definitely the luckiest daughter.
Happy birthday, Dad! Can't wait to be together for your next birthday.
I love you.

Playing the Glad Game

I'm so glad last week is over.

I'm so glad I don't have to drive to Holbrook, go on a school field trip, or be in charge of cub scouts and a ward party this week.

I'm so glad I had time to pose for the paparazzi at the ward party.

I'm so glad headband girl is in this picture to draw your attention away from the string of snot hanging down someone's nose.

I'm so glad for haircuts and happy Easter basket recipients.

I'm so glad Ashton wore his Sunday best for the Easter pictures.

I'm so glad Ian's preschool does fun crafts and activities so I don't have to.

And, I'm so glad for the real reason of Easter.
