No Offense, Stephenie

There's something wrong with me. That's the only possible explanation.

For the past several weeks I've been reading a book I don't like. Each night I put it down in frustration. And then I pick it up the next night to read, just so I can put it down once again in frustration.

What is wrong with me?

And then last night I realized I didn't like the movie I rented within 10 minutes of pushing play on my remote. Each time the main character spoke or came on the screen I would cringe. And yet I watched all 2 hours of that darn movie.

What is wrong with me?

I've come to the conclusion that only a mathematical equation can help my predicament.

Oh, that's what's wrong with me.

Plus, I've realized that I will never be a member of the Stephenie Meyer fan club. And I'm sure now I'll never have any kind of fan club of my own. Just don't send me hate mail, okay?

However, if you do have something mean to say, just make sure you put a "no offense, but..." in front and then write a blog post about it.

Why do those two things make you want to shoot a bald-blind man in the head?

So I'm with you on not being a major fan of the twilight movies. Anytime you put a gay guy as the the strong and brooding male lead . . . it just doesn't work. The twilight books were fun, I think I enjoyed the special powers aspect more than the rest of the story. I think her vision of the spirit wolves is dang cool. That said, I much preferred The Host. Perhaps you just have to be a Star Wars/Star Trek/Lord of the Rings nerd to enjoy it. Oh well, to each their own. Did you like the Harry Potter and Percy Jackson books?

No offense, but what is wrong with you? Do you not love forbidden teen romance and sparkly skin? I for one love being caught in the young adult romance section of the book store.
And a big W! about he movies...hello-they were amazing if you don't enjoy poor acting, amateur make-up and low-budget effects what DO you like?

I actually liked the Twilight books, but HATED The Host. Took me ages to read it. But I read the whole thing.

Ha!!! I LOVE this. I am such an Anti-Twilight right there with you.
And yes, you will probably receive some hate mail. I know from experience ; )

No offense, but . . . I think I've lost my Sherry mind-reading skills! Or maybe they were shot out with that mean looking gun on your screen.

I am going to interpret this as you were reading The Host and didn't like it. (That would give you brownie points with me because I had to force myself to read it for book club).
Yet, you hated New Moon and watched it anyway. Um, hello??? I got an equation for you on that one. Taylor Lautner + shirt off = me a major cougar.

No offense, but I am wondering what's wrong with you too? Looks like I won't be inviting you to the midnight premiere of Eclipse in June...can have an haters in my "fun" group.

Looks like I need to learn how to type because I meant to type "can't" have any haters.

haha, I loved the host, a ton better than the vampire books wich i enjoyed but they kinda went on for too long, and I don't care much for the movies.

BEST. POST. EVER. Loved it! (Not the part that insinuated suicidal tendencies). But everything else was right on! Yes, it is impossible not to think, after a mere 10 minutes of watching New Moon, "well, this is 2 hours of my life I'll never get back." Bella is such a DRAG! And just for being so brave by holding your head up high and proudly declaring your anti-Stephenie Meyer sentiment, I'm going to start a fan club for you. And I get to be president of said fan club.

Odd coincidence that "Stephenie M." left a comment here. Sometimes I think you register random names so that you can comment on your own blog and look cool. But then I see your self defeating ways. Not cool. No offense. Oh, wait, I did that backwards didn't I?

We are on the same page! I almost didn't finish "Twilight" because I thought it was so absolutely ridiculous. I only finished because I was promised by a friend it had a fantastic ending only to be even more disappointed. I rented the movie the other day thinking I should maybe see what everyone is so excited about and turned it off after about 20 minutes. Just not something I could waste my precious 'nap time' doing, so I chose to eat M&M's and watch Real Housewives of New York instead.
